Join Roanoke Children's Theatre for a "TERRIFIC" and "RADIANT" summer with CHARLOTTE'S WEB. The Roanoke Valley's only professional theatre for schools and families will bring CHARLOTTE'S WEB to the Jefferson Center stage (541 Luck Avenue SW) from May 25-27, 2018.
Get tangled up in this captivating tale of friendship and loyalty. Based on the beloved classic by E.B. White, an affectionate runt of a pig named Wilbur meets a barnyard full of animals who quickly become family. When Wilbur's life is endangered, the thoughtful spider Charlotte devises an intriguing plan to keep the gentle little swine safe. This feel-good heart-warming classic is perfect for the whole family.
"This poignant tale about life and death on a farm, about growing up and about how far a "friend" will go for you is based on one of the best-selling children's books of all time," says RCT Artistic Director Pat Wilhelms. "It resonates with both adults and children, and I know this will be a memorable time in the theatre. Charlotte's Web has both humor and emotion, and I am proud that Roanoke Children's Theatre will produce a play that will make audiences feel, and notice all the beauty and love all around us that is called life!"
