Alden Theatre’s Children’s Series Ends with Click, Clack, Moo June 5

By: May. 25, 2011

The Alden Theatre's 2010-2011 McLean Kids Performance Series concludes with Theatreworks USA's delightful new musical "Click, Clack, Moo" at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 5. Tickets are $12, $8 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

Cows that type? Hens on strike! "Whoever heard of such a thing!" Farmer Brown cries. When his granddaughter Jenny comes for a visit, Farmer Brown declares The Farm a "tech-free zone" and confiscates her laptop. The same computer the shivering cows use to type messages to The Farmer requesting blankets. "No way," replies Farmer Brown. "No blankets!" So the cows go on strike and the chickens join them in solidarity. No blankets: no milk, no eggs! Will Farmer Brown give in to the animals' demands? Will Jenny get her computer back? Find out how this hilariously "mooooo-ving" musical about negotiation and compromise ends. Based on the Caldecott Honor Book of 2001 by author Doreen Cronin and illustrator Betsy Lewin, this 60-minute show is recommended for children age 4 and older.
