ANNIE Will Take The Stage At Roanoke Children's Theatre December 20-23

"Leapin' Lizards!" Roanoke Children's Theatre invites audiences to celebrate the holidays with ANNIE. The Roanoke Valley's only professional theatre for schools and families will mount the beloved musical on the Jefferson Center stage (541 Luck Avenue SW) from December 20-23, 2018.

ANNIE, the classic American musical, will fill the audience with joy this holiday season. Little orphan Annie is saved from the orphanage and the cruel Miss Hannigan when she goes to stay with billionaire Oliver Warbucks for the holidays. While searching for the parents that abandoned her years ago, she reminds everyone that love and family are all you need.

RCT Artistic Director Pat Wilhelms will direct ANNIE which was called "one of the best family musicals ever penned" by the Chicago Tribune. "ANNIE is back," declares Wilhelms. "This charming musical will remind us how a positive attitude and optimistic outlook can help us all through life's ups and downs. In today's world we need that positive spirit. It is contagious. I believe audiences will come out singing and uplifted and ready for the holidays!"
