Little Radical Theatrics is thrilled to announce auditions for its FALL 2026 Community Theater production of “Young Frankenstein” with performances November 19-21 at the Doctor Phillips Center for the Performing Arts!

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation, The Producers, comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius, Mel Brooks, adapts his legendarily funny film into a brilliant stage creation – Young Frankenstein!

Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, Frederick Frankenstein (pronounced Fronk-en-steen) inherits his family's estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor (pronounced Eye-gore), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. It's alive! he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather's. Eventually, of course, the monster escapes and hilarity continuously abounds.

Rehearsals begin Monday September 21st and take place generally Monday-Thursdays 6:30-10:30 PM at LRT Rehearsal Studios 6100 Lake Ellenore Dr Orlando Suite 172 A

AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT WILL BE HELD FOR PERFORMERS AGES 17+ of ALL ETHNICITIES, GENDERS, BODY TYPES AND ABILITIES on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 9th and THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10th from 6:30-9:30 PM at LRT Studios 6100 Lake Ellenore Dr Suite 172 A Orlando, FL. CALLBACKS WILL BE HELD IN THE AFTERNOON OF SEPTEMBER 12th IN TIME SLOTS AT LRT STUDIOS

For the auditions please prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show (comedic musical theatre that shows personality and vocal range) and bring either sheet music or have an instrumental track available on your phone that we can connect to our Bluetooth speaker.

Inga - Frederick’s young assistant. Attractive and a resident of Transylvania. ANY ETHNICITY. FEMALE PRESENTING ONSTAGE. Age Range 18+ - 30s. Strong Singer and Actor who moves well. Ability to do or willing to learn to do a German accent a plus!

Elizabeth Benning - Frederick's boisterous fiancé. ANY ETHNICITY. FEMALE PRESENTING ONSTAGE. Strong singer and comedic actor. Age Range 20s-40s

Inspector Hans Kemp - The head of police in Transylvania. Driven by justice, with a wooden arm and leg. ANY GENDER to PRESENT MALE ONSTAGE. ANY ETHNICITY. Strong comedic actor and singer.

The Hermit - A lonely, blind town hermit, hoping for a friend. ANY GENDER. ANY ETHNICITY. Strong comedic performer and singer. Age Range 20-70. May double in the ensemble

Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein - The infamous Dr. Frankenstein and Frederick's grandfather. ANY gender to PRESENT MALE Onstage. ANY ETHNICITY. Strong singer with good comedic timing. AGE 25-50. May double in the Ensemble

Ziggy - The village idiot. Any Gender to present male onstage. ANY ETHNICITY. Strong comedic performer. Ages 17+ Will double in the Ensemble

Village Quartet - Featured singing roles for strong singers who are comfortable singing four part harmony! Any Gender, Any Ethnicity. Ages 17+

Ensemble - Performers ages 17 - 80 to play Villagers, Gravediggers, Medical Students, Passengers, Mad Scientists. All Genders, All Ethnicities! ROLES FOR THOSE WHO ARE STRONG SINGERS, STRONG COMEDIC ACTORS, AND/OR STRONG DANCERS! The Ensemble has MANY featured lines and solos and many opportunities for dancers to show off their skills as well!
