TVC CHI - Trans Voices Cabaret CHI Non Equity Auditions

Trans Voices Cabaret Chicago is having auditions for our second Cabaret. The Cabaret will take place at Stage 773, December 3rd at 7:30PM (rehearsal schedule will be made around actor availability). If you are interested in performing and have not been in a TVCChi production before, please follow the instructions/requirements for new talent. If you were part of our cast for the Inaugural Performance in July, please read the returning talent section.

ONLY TRANS/GENDER NONCONFORMING ACTORS WILL BE CAST. No cisgender actors should apply.

There will be no stipend for performance, but everyone who is cast will have a vocal coaching with a trans/GNC coach with no associated cost.

New Talent Auditions
If you are interested in being considered for our 12/3 cabaret, please send an email to transvoicescabaretchicago@gmail.com with the subject line “12/3 SUBMISSION - NEW TALENT” with the following information:

-Short introduction of yourself
-Gender Identity/Pronouns
-How you heard about TVC CHI
-Headshot/Resume in a single PDF file, entitled “LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_HSR.’
-Video audition or audio recording of you singing 16 bars (approx 30 seconds) of any musical theater song (accompanied or a capella)). Your audition song does not have to be the song you would like to perform for the cabaret.
-Song(s) you are proposing to sing for 12/3.

This should be sent to us no later than 11:59 PM CDT on October 8th, 2018.

If you would like to perform a duet, or group number everyone involved should audition separately. If you would like to perform a number with someone who has already performed with us, you must still submit a video audition.

Returning Talent
If you would like to perform in the Cabaret on December 3rd, please send your proposed song(s) (along with sheet music) to transvoicescabaretchicago@gmail.com with the subject line “12/3 SUBMISSION - RETURNING TALENT.” Duets and group numbers are strongly encouraged!

This should be sent to us no later than 11:59 PM CDT on October 8th, 2018.

An individual performer will only be cast in one song, i.e. if you are in a duet you will not have a solo performance. You can submit multiple songs/duets/numbers but please know you will only selected to perform in one.

Please note that previous appearances in Cabarets do not guarantee you a spot in the following Cabaret. We are striving to provide opportunity to as many trans/GNC artists as we can, which means a constantly rotating cast.
