THE ART PROJECT - Matrix School of Theatre

Auditions for the Matrix School of Theatre’s spring semester for children ages 5 – 14 will be held Tuesday, April 7 from 4:30 -6:30 pm at Matrix Theatre located at 2730 Bagley St. in southwest Detroit’s Mexicantown. Tuition for the semester is $100. “Learn by doing” is the theme as students come together to performThe Art Project, a fun and uplifting play written by Matrix School of Theatre’s very own Gabrielle Clayton. Young actors will attend rehearsals twice a week and learn performance techniques and rehearsal skills, as they prepare for the performance of a full show in front of a live audience. Interested students must attend auditions where they will be cast in specific roles. All students who audition will receive a role. Rehearsals begin Saturday, April 11 and run Tuesdays from 4:30 – 6:30 pm and Saturdays from 10 am – 1 pm. Performances are Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 7 pm and Sunday, May 31 at 3 pm.
