Marriott Theatre will hold an open dance call for union and non-union dancers/singers on Monday, March 19th at the Marriott Theatre Rehearsal Warehouse (
1342 Barclay Blvd, Buffalo Grove, 60089) for their upcoming production of Sweet Charity (dates and info at MarriottTheatre.com/Auditions).
Specifically seeking performers with strong jazz training who sing. Dance call for AEA and non-AEA male-identifying dancers will take place at 10am, AEA female-identifying dancers at 1pm, and non-AEA female-identifying dancers will be seen at 3:30pm.
Seeking locally based dancers/singers only at this time (must have housing in the Chicagoland area). All ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition. No performers under 18 are being seen at this time. Male-identifying dancers should wear jazz or character shoes (no sneakers). Female-identifying dancers should wear character heels (no flats or sneakers). Bring one 16 bar song (equivalent to one minute in length) and a second contrasting selection in case the artistic team needs to hear more.
