AUDITIONS

For our 2017-18 Season Opening presentation of

Singin' In The Rain, Jr.

***PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE NOTICE***

If you have NOT been cast in a CPM show before - Please bring a photograph of yourself to attach to your audition form. This does NOT need to be a formal headshot. Any size photo will work.

Auditions for this show are for ages 7 to 18. Students who are 18 should still be in high school or in high school junior/senior year eligibility.

We ask that you list all conflicts that you have between

July 26 and September 8, 2017 on your audition form.

PLEASE NOTE:

Conflicts during Tech Weeks (September 2 - 8, and September 12 -15, 2017) will affect casting decisions. We prefer no conflicts during these weeks.

Rehearsals are normally three weeknights from 6:30 to 9:00pm and 12:00 to 6:00pm on Saturdays sometimes Sundays, except Tech/Dress week (September 2-8, & 12-15)) when they will be 12:00 to 6:00pm on Sat. and Sun. and weeknights from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

6:30 - 8:30pm
(You need to be signed in by 8:30pm in order to audition. Each audition group will take about 30 minutes. Bring your homework, if we get a lot of auditionees there will be a long wait time between each group.)

PLEASE NOTE:

Performance Dates

Saturday, September 9 @ 7:00pm (GALA Opening Performance)

September, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 2017 @ 1:00pm

October 1, 2017 @ 1:00pm

September 23 @ 7:00pm

(Actor call time 10:00am for 1:00pm performances)

PERFORMANCE CONFLICTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

Prepare 16 measures (or one verse and one chorus) of a song that shows off your voice the best (not too high or too low for your vocal range). The song does not need to be from the show.

BRING THE SHEET MUSIC WITH YOU OR A KARAOKE CD

(CD can have no lead vocals)

You may or may not be asked to read from the script.

Please dress appropriately and bring dance shoes if you own them to change into for a dance audition. If you do not have dance shoes, please wear comfortable shoes you can move in.

PLEASE NOTE:

The three leads in this show (2 Male and 1 Female)MUST BE ABLE TO TAP DANCE. If you are auditioning for the characters

Kathy Seldon, Don Lockwood, or Cosmos Brown,

YOU MUST bring tap shoes to the audition.
