The Un-Common Theatre Company announces September Auditions for
“Seussical”
The Un-Common Theatre Company is thrilled to announce auditions for their Fall Production of “Seussical” on Sunday, September 7th, 2014,from 2:00 to 5:00pm. The production will feature a cast of 2nd through 12th graders and will be performed at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, MA, November 21-23, 2014.
This production reunites the creative team of Director and Choreographer Michael Hammond(Holbrook, MA) and Music Director Paula Bishop (Foxboro, MA), who most recently collaborated on “The Wizard of Oz” and “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka”.
“Seussical” brings to life many of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters and is narrated by the Cat in the Hat.
The story tells the tale of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos,including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too manythinks. Horton faces a double challenge--not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty,family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Auditions will be held at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro, MA for students in Grades 2 through 12 on Sunday, September 7, from 1:00 to 4:00pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Callbacks will be held at 6:00pm. All roles are available to all ages. To make an appointment,
