Avalon Productions is seeking talented adult actors for our upcoming November 2026 production of A Piece of My Heart by Shirley Lauro.
ABOUT THE SHOW
A Piece of My Heart is a powerful, deeply affecting drama that chronicles the true stories of six courageous American women—three nurses, a Red Cross worker, an intelligence officer, and a country-western singer—who went to Vietnam, and their subsequent struggle to make sense of a war that irrevocably changed them. This production is proudly sponsored by Memorial Health.
CASTING REQUIREMENTS
Roles Available: (casting various ethnicities, ages 20s–50s).
Steele – Extremely strong with a military bearing. Intelligent with a great sense of humor. A pragmatist. Black or multi-racial actor, open age.
Sissy – Sweet and feminine. She’s warm, gentle and loads of fun. Open age/race/ethnicity.
Status: Non-union, unpaid, community theater production.
