Rate of Pay / Contract:
$680 Min. $45 per diem, travel and hotel covered once on the road. Child Labor laws will be followed. Must be able to be local to NYC for Rehearsals.

SPECIAL NOTE:
PLEASE NOTE: One of the boys cast in the tracks below will also understudy Randy, Ralphie’s much younger brother, who plays approximately 6–7 years old. Randy is an awkward, eccentric little boy who is adorable and genuinely funny. The actor covering Randy should be able to handle his physical comedy and specific stage business while keeping the character natural and spontaneous. The Randy understudy assignment will be determined based on the individual performers cast and overall company needs. One of these boys will also be the Tap Dance Specialty. Performers may submit specifically for Tap Dance Specialty, but the actor cast as the specialty will also play one of the listed boys’ tracks.

Roles:
[DILL/ENSEMBLE]
Boy; 9 to 12 years old; all ethnicities. Must be 4'7 or shorter — we would especially love a very small actor. Voice must be unchanged. Looking for a funny, quirky, interesting, offbeat kid with a strong personality and great comic instincts. Dill is Scut Farkus’s sidekick — a little bully with some toughness and swagger, but still very much a kid: small, scrappy, mischievous, oddball and funny. We are especially interested in kids who feel distinctive and unexpected rather than polished or “showbizzy.” Must be an excellent singer with a high, unchanged voice. Must tap. Acting, comedy and personality are especially important.

Boy; 9 to 13 years old; all ethnicities. 9 to 13 years old, all ethnicities, boy. VOICE: Belter, unchanged voice, low B to high C#. Must tap. Must be 4'10 or shorter.
[FLICK/ENSEMBLE]
Boy; 9 to 13 years old; all ethnicities. He will sing a song with his tongue “stuck” to a flagpole. Must be funny and natural. Looking for very funny, offbeat/character types. Strong singer. VOICE: Belter, unchanged voice, low B to high C#. Must tap. Must be 4'10 or shorter.
[TAP DANCE SPECIALTY (CHILD ROLE)]
Boy; 9 to 13 years old; all ethnicities. Should be 4'8 or shorter — would especially love a very small actor. EXCELLENT TAP DANCER. Singing a plus. The Tap Dance Specialty will also be cast in one of the listed boys’ roles above.
