PHANTOM - The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre at CM Performing Arts Center Non Equity Auditions

The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre will be holding Auditions for PHANTOM on Monday August 20th and Tuesday August 21st at 8PM. Please prepare 16 bars of music either from or in the style of the show and wear appropriate dance wear as there will be a Dance Audition after the Vocals. PHANTOM/ERIC (Male, 20s) Elegant, charming and yet – deeply disturbed. Lived for almost his whole life in the opera house. He is obsessed with Christine, which leads him onto a path of revenge and murder in her name. Baritone. Any ethnicity.



CHRISTINE DAAE (Female, teens-20s) Beautiful, kind-hearted and naive young opera singer. She feels a true kinship and affection for Eric, despite his troubles. Lyric Soprano. Any ethnicity.



CARLOTTA (Female, 30s-40s) A demanding diva, willing to go as far as to poison Christine when she becomes a threat to her soprano reign. Legit Mezzo-soprano. Any ethnicity.



GERARD CARRIER (Male, 40s-60s) The former manager of the opera house. Eric’s father. Baritone. Any ethnicity.



COUNT DE CHANTON/PHILLIPPE (Male, 20s-30s) The handsome and self-confident opera benefactor. In love with Christine. Legit tenor. Any ethnicity.



BELLADOVA (Female, 30s) Phantom/Eric’s loving mother, who appears as a (ghost? flashback?) Eric’s attraction to Christine begins because her voice reminds him of his mother’s. Warm, rich soprano. Any ethnicity.



CHOLET (Male, 40s-50s) The new manager of the opera house. Carlotta’s husband and comically deceitful. Any ethnicity.



JEAN-CLAUDE (Male, 40s-50s) The stage manager. Featured role. Any ethnicity.



INSPECTOR LEDOUX (Male, 40s-50s) Inspector of the Paris police. Any ethnicity.



ENSEMBLE: Seeking a diverse group who are capable of Singing, Ballet Dance, as well as Character Acting abilities.
