Big Noise Theatre Company will hold auditions for Legally Blonde the Musical (book by Heather Hach, music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin).
Audition Date and Time: Monday, July 21 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm
Appointments preferred, but not necessary
Callbacks: Wednesday, July 23
Audition Location: Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln, Winnetka
Rehearsals : Monday – Thursday evenings 7 – 10 pm starting August 4
August rehearsals will be at Light Opera Works Rehearsal Space in Wilmette
September rehearsals will be at Winnetka Community House until move into the Prairie Lakes Theatre in Des Plaines, our performance space.

SYNOPSIS: Harvard’s beloved blonde takes the stage by pink storm in this fun, upbeat and smart musical about self-discovery. Based on the much-adored movie, this delightful musical is filled with laughs, production numbers, two dogs and a snappy score.

The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality. Female, 18-25 yrs old Range: Gb2 - G5 |

A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly. Male, 20-25 yrs old Range: B2 - A4 |

A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself. Female, 35-45 yrs old Range: A3 - A5 |

PROFESSOR CALLAHAN |
A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral. Male, 45-55 yrs old Range: A2 - F#4 |

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON |
A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner's fiancee who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend. Female, 20-25 yrs old Range: A3 - F5 |

WARNER HUNTINGTON III |
A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart and heads off to Harvard Law. Male, 20-25 yrs old Range: Eb3 - Ab4 |
ENSEMBLE Also seeking strong singing and dancing ensemble for Greek Chorus, Students, Delta Nu members, other features.
Please prepare 16 bars each of an uptempo and ballad. You may sing from the show. Be prepared to make another selection from your book, if asked. Bring sheet music in your key. Accompanist will be provided.
There will be a dance call. Women please bring character heels or jazz sneakers. Men, please bring jazz sneakers or appropriate footwear.
Picture and resume requested, but not required.
Big Noise offers all cast members participation in CAST (Comp Assisted Stipend). Each cast member will be provided with ticket vouchers, which may be sold at face value of $28 each. The proceeds from the tickets may be kept by the performer, providing a potential stipend.
