A Christmas Carol – The Musical originated on Broadway and is a spectacular adaptation of Charles Dickens's most well known story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated Bah! Humbug! Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he's forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, & Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful Happy Christmas before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him.

Cast Needs: Lenore Weir will be directing a cast of ages 6 years old to 75+ years old for about 40 principal and ensemble roles!

• Sunday, October 5:
  • 4:00pm to 5:00pm – Ages 6 to 15 years old ONLY (taken in groups of 5)
  • 5:00pm to 9:00pm – Ages 16 to 75+ years old ONLY (taken individually)

• Monday, October 6:
  • 6:30pm to 7:30pm – Ages 6 to 15 years old ONLY (taken in groups of 5)
  • 7:30pm to 9:00pm – Ages 16 to 75+ years old ONLY (taken individually)
• Tuesday, October 7:
  • 6:30pm to 7:30pm – Ages 6 to 15 years old ONLY (taken in groups of 5)
  • 7:30pm to 9:00pm – Ages 16 to 75+ years old ONLY (taken individually)

Performances on the Loft Stage @ East Ridge High School:

• Fridays & Saturdays, December 5, 6, 12, 13 at 7:00pm
• Sundays, December 7 and 14 at 3:00pm
• Friday, December 12 – 1:00pm – Special Weekday performance (MUST be available starting at 12pm on this day)

Rehearsals at Merrill Rivertown Campus (until move to the Loft on 11/24/14):

• Monday, October 20:
  • Meet and Greet from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for children ages 6 to 15 years old (must also include at least one parent)
  • Meet and Greet from 8:00pm to 10:00pm for youth and adults ages 16 to 75+ years old
• Tuesday October 20 – Wednesday, 11/26 (OFF on November 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving)
  • 6:30pm to 10:00pm on Mondays through Fridays (children released by 8:30pm; plan for rehearsal each night, though specific schedules will be distributed based on characters).

• Auditions & Most Rehearsals will be held at the Merrill Community Arts Center, 380 Rivertown Drive, Suite 200, Woodbury, MN 55125.
• Tech & Dress Rehearsals and Performances are held at the Loft Stage - Black Box Theater, East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Drive, Woodbury, MN 55129
