The Rose Tattoo at Marquette Theatre, Loyola University New Orleans

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans presents The Rose Tattoo, a play exploring what it means to find love and oneself after unimaginable loss, inspired by Williams' longtime partner Frank Merlo and his deep affection for Italian culture. Kristin Witt stars as Serafina Delle Rose, a fiery Sicilian widow who withdraws into mourning after her husband's death, until the arrival of Alvaro, played by Nick DiJulio, an irresistibly charming truck driver who challenges everything she thought she had lost. Lauren Van Mullem plays Serafina's daughter Rosa, with the cast also featuring Quinn Lapeyrouse, Alex Martinez Wallace, Daphne Armbruster, Adam Breaux, Desiree Burrell, Lalanya Gunn, Kelley Holcomb, Kalimah Williams, Gwendolyn Foxworth, and Janet Shea. The production is directed by Augustin J. Correro, with lighting design by Diane K. Baas, scenic design by Nathan Arthur, costume design by Brik Allen, and sound design by Nick Shackleford.
