NOLA Voice Theatre is thrilled to announce a new, limited-run return presentation of our hit production The Professor Carl Nivale Show featuring Grand Marshal Marty Graw, Feb. 3rd & 4th at Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts. This year marks the 28th year for Professor Carl Nivale & Grand Marshal Marty Graw's New Orleans' television airwaves, Carnival Emceeing, calling parades at Gallier Hall and now including this fourth edition of The Professor Carl Nivale Show featuring Grand Marshal Marty Graw.
Prevously presented at Bayou Playhouse and N.O.R.D. Theater to rave responses from the audiences, Photos shared here are from the acclaimed Gallier Hall production in 2020, co-produced with the Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy in famous Gallier Hall.
By popular demand, The Professor Carl Nivale Show featuring Grand Marshal Marty Graw comes to the Rivertown Theaters Lagniappe stage this February for the 2024 Carnival season! NOLA Voice Theatre invites you to join TV's favorite Professor and Grand Marshal Marty Graw as they take you through a fun-filled, informative history of Carnival and Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
This year's production comes to us from the den of the Mystic Krewe of Terpsichore, located on the campus of Kings College of Carnival Knowledge. A pair of out-of-town reporters arrive at King's College to do an expose on the Professor and the college. What they find is a whirlwind of Carnival history and fun that carries them and the audience away in the laughter and fun of the season! From the first krewes, to balls, to king cake, to throws and more, nearly every part of the season is explored in the show with winning results! Including a fabulous Carnival Costuming "Bal Masque" as well as audience participation, rewards for correct answers. a pair of Royalty chosen at every performance to lead the second line through the theater and culminating in a finale which included King Sake for all!
Joining the Professor (Vatican Lokey) and the Grand Marshal (Edward R. Cox) are Margeaux Fanning, Stephen Denning, and Michelle Plaideau Fristoe.
The Professor Carl Nivale Show featuring Grand Marshal Marty Graw will have a limited three-performance run:
Saturday, February 3rd, at 11 am and 1 pm.
Final performance, Sunday, February 4th, 11 am
Limited seating at each performance. Tickets sales begin January 17th at rivertowntheaters.com
