TRIAL OF THE BIG BAD WOLF Opens At Slidell Little Theatre Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?! See for yourself Nov. 2nd through Nov. 11th as Slidell Little Theater brings back its "Theater for Young Audiences" program opening with Trial of the Big Bad Wolf.

Director Renee Saussaye, a previous SLT Ginny Award winner, was in the original cast of the show at NORD Theater years ago. The show is written by local writers Bob Bruce & David Cuthbert, the same brilliant authors of the very popular Cinderella Batistella. Renee brings her vision to SLT's Allen Little Stage and presents this delightful and comedic story with fun for the entire family.

Local Sheriff Fogey and Deputy Doux have brought The Big Bad Wolf to justice for crimes against the residents of Fairy Tale Land. The case of B. B. Wolf vs. The Three Pigs, Red Riding Hood, Peter, and Granny will take place with the audience as the jury. Many other favorite fairy tale characters will sing and dance their way into the hearts of your whole family. Each musical number pays tributes to The Andrew Sisters, Cab Callaway, Al Jolson as well as styles that celebrate Gospel, Western, Vaudeville and many others genres.

The show stars Sean Blanchard as B.B.Wolf as well as other local favorites on the SLT stages including Lisa Meredith as Granny Gabor, William Saussaye as Judge Bopner, John Kirkpatrick as Deputy Doux and Bruce Javery as Sheriff Fogey. Other players include: Elizabeth Burris (Gargantu-Anne Hamm), Karen Soulet (Luzianne Hamm), Lela Blalock (Roseanne Hamm), Noah Leibe (FRed Riding Hood), and Caden Smith (Peter B. Peterson).

The revamped Theater for Young Audiences program is theater by adults and older kids for younger kids and families. The goal is to expose all ages to the theater and present family entertainment. There will be two shows this year - one in the fall and one in the spring. Pinkalicious is on the books for early 2019. "After a brief hiatus, we are happy to bring back the TYA program." said Renee. "We have several sold out shows already and it is such great family entertainment. For this show, the audience serves as the jury to find B.B. Wolf guilty or not guilty. There's lots of fairy tale characters too for the little ones."
