Rivertown Theaters Presents HANSEL AND GRETEL, 7/8-19
Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts' 2013 - 2014 season will continue with another delightful children's productions this summer as the popular Patchwork Players makes Rivertown its home for the second year and presents HANSEL & GRETEL July 8 - 19.
The late Buzz Podewell , founder of Patchwork Players and his troupe of zany actors had been acting silly for so long that grandmothers remember coming to the shows as kids. Since 1984, each June and July they performed two different plays at the Rogers Memorial Chapel on the Tulane uptown campus. The company has been very popular over the years presenting a different program every four years. They dance, sing, tell jokes and interact with audience members, engaging several tots in the cast at each performance. This season, Rivertown Theaters is delighted to offer the Patchwork Players family-friendly shows once again for great summer fun for families.

Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts kicked off its inaugural "BROADWAY SERIES AT RIVERTOWN" SCHEDULE FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON with a new name, a new management company, Theatre 13, and new artistic directors, Gary Rucker and Kelly Fouchi. The mission of Theatre 13 is to bring new and exciting productions to the New Orleans area while providing local theatre artists an opportunity to perform, create, and be compensated for their work. Theatre 13 is producing a wide range of professional theatrical performances, from musicals to children's theatre to more controversial and thought-provoking works for Rivertown Theaters for the Performing Arts.
