Sum of Parts at Nimbus

Sum of Parts is a world premiere program from Nimbus celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary, featuring four contemporary dance works by choreographers from four countries. The program includes the premiere of A Land, A Promise, choreographed by Princess Grace Award-winning Houston Thomas, set to a newly composed choral score by Saunder Choi and performed live by the West Village Chorale. Also on the program are works by Pedro Ruiz and Yoshito Sakuraba, as well as the return of Through the Golden Door, created with bestselling author Helene Stapinski and eight Jersey City residents including Mary Aiken, Sam Pesin, Ben Jones, Juan Cartagena, Tina Maneca, Catherine Hecht, Joe Waks, and Danielle Scott.
