Experience the raw passion and haunting power of a tragic tale of love, betrayal, and revenge. This timeless masterpiece follows the tormented court jester whose desperate attempts to protect his daughter unleash devastating consequences.
Featuring a traditional stage production, soaring melodies, and gripping drama, Rigoletto is opera at its most thrilling.
Verdi’s Rigoletto is led by baritone Michael Nansel in the title role, a versatile artist with more than 90 roles spanning opera and musical theater.
Soprano Jordan Bowman appears as Gilda, bringing award-winning artistry following her Carnegie Hall debut and multiple Laffont Competition honors.
Tenor Nathan Snyder returns to LONJ as the Duke of Mantua, praised for his “rich and nuanced” sound and compelling stage presence.
Bass-baritone Valerian Ruminski, whose international career includes the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall, sings Sparafucile, while internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Christina Lamberti appears as Maddalena, celebrated for her dramatic power and vocal refinement.
Rigoletto is conducted by Maestro Jason Tramm, who serves as the Artistic & Executive Director of Light Opera of New Jersey.
