Deaf West Theatre presents the world premiere of Elephant Shoes, a new musical featuring a book by Ivan Menchell and music and lyrics by Caroline Kay, directed and choreographed by Jeff Calhoun. The story follows Cy, a tech innovator whose groundbreaking invention translates spoken language to American Sign Language, as he navigates his feelings for Roxy, a talented coder, while grappling with the complications of love and friendship. Set to a contemporary score, this production highlights communication's nuances between Deaf and hearing individuals. Elephant Shoes will run from June 4 to June 28, 2026, at Two River Theater.
