Join Ballet Arts and the Adelphi Orchestra for a magical holiday tradition, "The Nutcracker," at River Dell High School on December 14th and 15th. With a cast of nearly 50 dancers and a live orchestra conducted by Kyunghun Kim, this beloved ballet brings to life Clara and her brother Franz’s enchanting adventure in the land of sweets, where they meet a Snow Queen, waltzing flowers, dancing marzipan, and the Sugar-Plum Fairy. This year’s performances will feature Kellan Hayag, a student at the American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, as the Nutcracker Prince, and Ballet Arts’ own Kathleen Hahn as the Sugar-Plum Fairy. The production also introduces new Waltz of the Flowers costumes, designed by Gisele Ferrari-Wong with assistance from Haruka Fujii. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Tchaikovsky’s timeless score performed by a live symphony and to witness a fresh take on this classic ballet. Performances are on Saturday, December 14th at 7 PM and Sunday, December 15th at 2 PM at River Dell High School, 55 Pyle Street, Oradell, NJ. Tickets are available at www.BalletArtsNJ.com.
