On Sunday, April 27th at 4:00pm, internationally renowned concert organist and Bach specialist, Bálint Karosi, will present an all-Bach organ recital at St. Stephen’s Church in Millburn, NJ. The organ at St. Stephen’s Church, designed and built by the celebrated German organ builder Rudolf von Beckerath in 1970, is a masterpiece inspired by the golden age of 17th and 18th century North German organ building. Its full mechanical (tracker) keyboard action and tonal design are faithful to the historic organs that Bach himself composed for and played. This recital promises to be an extraordinary experience, as Dr. Karosi performs some of Bach’s great masterworks on an instrument ideally suited to the music of the great Baroque master. Our Beckerath organ has been a major cultural resource for over 55 years, drawing audiences from across the state and beyond, and attracting world-class concert organists from America and Europe. We believe this event will be a delightful and enriching experience for all. Please join us for this special recital and enjoy some lovely music in the beautiful setting of St. Stephen’s Church. We look forward to seeing you! Sunday, April 27 at 4:00PM St. Stephen’s Church, 119 Main Street, Millburn, NJ General admission at the door. $20 suggested donation. Reception to follow the performance.
St. Stephen's Episcopal Church is at 119 Main Street, Millburn, NJ.
