At the height of the roaring twenties, the Greenwood section of Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Negro Section, was known as “Black Wall Street”. It sparkled and dazzled onlookers, with 21 restaurants, 60 stores, two movie theaters, four railroads, a telephone service and their own airport. But on May 31 1921, during a seventy- two hour period the city was wiped off the map.
