Beginning February, 2011, the Forum Theatre Arts Center (FTAC) in Metuchen, New Jersey, in conjunction with Stagelight Electric Productions, will present a series of live performances in an intimate setting, including an evening with Suzanne Vega on February 25th, 2U - The World's 2nd Best U2 Show (February 17th), Jefferson Starship's 40th Anniversary show (on March 31st), Frontiers/A Journey Tribute (April 2nd,) THE British Invasion (April 16th), and a soon-to-be-announced line up for the spring and summer.

"This is a new chapter for the theater," says Peter Loewy, producing artistic director of The Forum. "No other venue in New Jersey offers the quality of entertainment at affordable prices that we do. We are a family friendly center in a small town where people can feel comfortable and safe attending our events."

Loewy added, "The Forum is a gathering place for people to experience an array of cultural events within walking distance to some of the finest eateries in town."

The Forum has long brought affordable, live entertainment, cultural events, critically acclaimed movies and children's programming to its stage and screen. The theater is three blocks from the Metuchen New Jersey Transit train station and is accessible from most major highways in the state.

The Forum has been central New Jersey's cultural arts hub since 1928, when it was built as a theater and vaudeville tryout house. At the height of its success, it was a thriving regional theater, presenting hundreds of American and World Premieres with an emphasis on musical theater, as well as A-list concert events and children's shows.

The Forum took a two-year hiatus (when it leased the property to an outside movie distributor) and reopened in June 2009 newly committed to bringing high quality entertainment to its stage and providing opportunities for children to participate and learn through the art of theater. We are pleased to announce The Forum has been restored to its original glory, as the cultural focal point of central New Jersey.
