Tickets on Sale Friday for BergenPAC's Kidz Cabaret Series

The Kidz Cabaret Series at bergenPAC will now feature sensory-friendly performances. With an intimate setting in the theater's Drapkin Cabaret & Lounge, the long-running series introduces the performing arts to young children, ages 3-7. These shows let children interact directly with performers and experience the joy of live theater up close. bergenPAC hopes to now make the series even more welcoming to families with children with autism or other disabilities.

In addition to general admission seating, sensory-friendly performances are designed to make patrons more comfortable with aspects like softer sound levels and keeping the room's lights on at a lower level. Patrons are free to stand, move around and talk during the performance. The theater staff is also trained to be accommodating and welcoming to families' needs.

The 2018 Kidz Cabaret Series includes Turtle Dance Music on Feb. 20, 2017; Gizmo Guys on March 3, 2018; Story Pirates: Greatest Hits on April 28, 2018; Bubble Trouble on June 2, 2018. All performances are at 1 and 3 p.m. and tickets are $19. Save $5 off each ticket when purchasing 3 or more shows at the box office. Turtle Dance Music

The sensory-friendly performance is geared for Pre-K, grades K-5 and also students on the Autism Spectrum.

Gizmo Guys

Performing as the Gizmo Guys, Allan Jacobs and Barrett Felker have amazed and amused audiences around the world with their juggling act. What makes their act so appealing is their uniquely winning combination of dazzling technique and infectious humor. The Gizmo Guys' rapid-fire act exhilarates and inspires sidesplitting laughter in audience members of all ages.

Story Pirates: Greatest Hits

Story Pirates celebrates the words and ideas of young people. They believe kids have the best ideas, so they turn their original stories into wild sketch comedy musicals featuring professional actors. Their Greatest Hits performance is a sketch comedy musical based on some of their favorite stories written by kids from around the country, plus a segment that's entirely improvised with suggestions from kids in the audience.

Bubble Trouble

bubbles to the max in this one-man bubble extravaganza. It's the craziest, most creative bubble show around. Jeff juggles bubbles, sculpts and builds with bubbles, makes fog-filled bubbles and more.
