The Theater Company of Hoboken Relives High School’s GLORY DAYS 7/14-15
The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) invites theater-goers to relive their high school memories with their latest production-GLORY DAYS. Written by Nick Blaemire and James Gardiner,
performances will be July 14, 15 & 16, 2011 at 8pm at TTC's Studio - C-413 in the Monroe Center for the Arts in Hoboken, NJ.
GLORY DAYS tell the story of four best friends who reconnect on their old school's football field a year after graduating. They are on a mission: to hack into the sprinkler system so that it goes off when the jocks who bullied them in high school take the field for a charity game. But as the guys wait for instructions on how to break into the system, they quickly realize how dramatically their lives have grown apart. With a soaring pop-rock score, GLORY DAYS is a poignant and
witty coming-of-age story about friends searching for understanding and validation as they face the consequences of growing up.
"GLORY DAYS transitions us from our campy and outrageous regular season into our more nostalgic and poignant summer production," remarks Producing Artistic Director David Zimmerman, who notes that TTC's next production is The Music of GREASE in Frank Sinatra Park later this month.
Directed by Jenny Fersch with Coleen Rand in the Assistant Director's chair, GLORY DAYS includes Musical Direction by Cindy Yin with Assistant Musical Direction by David Maglione. The cast is comprised of Thatcher Illiff, Andrew Lister, Justin Lucian and David Maglione.
They are accompanied by band members, Christopher Comeaux, Joel Condon, Katie Miller and Cindy Yin.
