The Princeton Triangle Club Presents FAMILY FEUDALISM

Lower the drawbridge and raise the moat for a night of Knights at Castle McCarter! Kings, Queens and Knaves are all headed for a royal flush as Princeton's famous Triangle Club celebrates its 120th year armored-up in a first-ever medieval revue. By royal decree: Family Feudalism will play McCarter Theatre for two performances, Friday and Saturday, November 19 and 20 at 8pm.

With original music and lyrics by Princeton's best and brightest, this year's production gallops onto the stage in a flourish of Princeton pageantry fit for a musical comedy coronation. There is a Lady Gaga-inspired number about Queen Elizabeth I called "Power Face," as well as a disco-inspired number called "Bring Back the Fever" that satirizes the return of the Plague, plus "No Monkey Business" which is about all the things that monks aren't allowed to do in monasteries, and, of course, Triangle's trademark all-male kickline.

Following on the heels of Triangle's recent successes, Store Trek (2009), Stark Raven Mad! (2008) and A Turnpike Runs Through It (2007), the highly skilled team of professionals (and Triangle alumni) returns for Family Feudalism: director Glen Pannell '87, choreographer Hans Kriefall '87, and music director Peter Mills '95. Returning to design costumes for this year's production will be David Kaley '97 and Karl Ruckdeschel.

This year's show boast several Triangle Club members with New Jersey connections including Elizabeth Katen-Narvell and Saumitra Sahi from Princeton; Michael Gordon from Princeton Junction; Chris Beard from Hopewell; Buddy Gardineer from Allentown; Brad Baron from Glen Rock; Briyana Davis from Voorhees; plus Fiona Maguire and Jillian Stein, both graduates of the Lawrenceville School.

Triangle Club, is the oldest collegiate musical-comedy troupe in the nation, is the only college group that creates an original, student-written musical each year that is presented on national tour. Following the Princeton premiere, Triangle will take Family Feudalism on tour in December with stops in Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Miami, West Palm Beach, Charlotte and Washington, DC. The show returns to McCarter for two encore performances in May 2011.
