South Camden Theatre Company Opens GEMINI
South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre company located in Camden, New Jersey continues its ninth season titled "Everything's Relative" with GEMINI written by Philadelphia native Albert Innaurato and directed by Brad Reiter and Ray Croce. The cast includes, Nicole DeRosa Lukatis, Dawn Varava, Eli Russell, Allison Kessler, Josh Samors, Anthony Scanish and Ray Croce.
Set in the backyard of two South Philadelphia row homes in the early summer of 1973; the comedic drama GEMINI explores the relationships of dysfunctional friends and families as they join together to celebrate the 21st birthday of Francis Geminiani. GEMINI won the 1977 Obie Award for playwriting and went on to run for over 1,800 performances on Broadway.
Producing Artistic Director and Playwright Joseph M. Paprzycki states, "I have loved GEMINI since I was in college. When the idea to produce a comedy at South Camden Theatre Company arose I wanted to produce a play I found truly funny but one that could also be performed in any two back yards in our neighborhood in Waterfront South. This seldom produced play will make you laugh hard and is a nice compliment to the rest of our season." All performances will be held Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. at the 96-seat Waterfront South Theatre located at 400 Jasper Street in Camden, New Jersey. Tickets are available for purchase for $20 online at http://www.southcamdentheatre.org, by calling 1-866-811-4111 or at the door. All tickets for Camden New Jersey residents are $5 with proof of residency only available on the day of the show.
