Silvestre Dangond

Vallenato singer Silvestre Dangond released his first album, Tanto para Tí, in 2002. He then connected with accordion player Juancho De la Espriella and gained prominence with their collaboration on Lo Mejor Para Los Dos. He later went on to earn four Latin Grammy nominations in the Best Cumbia/Vallenato Album category for a series of records released between 2008-2013.

An Evening of Jazz & Hip Hop with Queen Latifah, part of the Benzel-Busch Concert Series

Award-winning rapper, singer and actress, Queen Latifah will showcase her soulful R&B style in a night full of music and laughs at Bergen Performing Arts Center's Season Opener Celebration. VIP ticket holders will enjoy a pre-show champagne reception in the Drapkin Cabaret & Lounge.

Newark native Queen Latifah earned a Grammy Award for Best Solo Rap Performance in 1994. She's proven herself to be a versatile performer, as she was nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album for The Dana Owens Album in 2005 and for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Trav'lin Light in 2008.

She became the first hip hop artist to be crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. Queen Latifah starred in the hit '90s sit-com Living Single, and her film credits include Chicago, Hairspray, The Secret Life of Bees and the animated Ice Age franchise.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story

Direct from its success in London's West End and a sold out United Kingdom tour, The Simon & Garfunkel Story is coming to America. Using huge projection photos and original film footage, this 50th Anniversary Celebration features a full live band performing hits like "Mrs. Robinson," "Cecilia," "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and "Homeward Bound."

Robby Krieger of the Doors Celebrating 50 Years of Doors Music

Robby Krieger played guitar in the Doors and co-wrote many of the group's hits. With a new touring band that includes his son Waylon Krieger, he brings their legendary songs back to the stage.

Krieger began as a classical guitarist, but was inspired at a Chuck Berry concert to take up rock & roll. Krieger played in bands with friends in college, and eventually connected with John Densmore. He then met keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who introduced him to a poet/singer he'd been working with, Jim Morrison. Their first rehearsal supposedly resulted in the penning of "Moonlight Drive," which launched the Doors. Their top hits include "Light My Fire," "Hello, I Love You" and "Touch Me."
