Silent Film WINGS Gets Screening with Live Organ Accompaniment, 8/10

A screening of the silent film, Wings, accompanied by live organ music will take place Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 7:30pm as a kick-off to the Armed Forces Parade on Monday, August 11th and the Atlantic City Airshow on Wednesday, August 13th. This event will serve a benefit to raise funds to preserve and restore both organs at Boardwalk Hall, one of which is the largest in the world.

Wings is a 1927 American silent war film set during the First World War produced by Lucien Hubbard, directed by William A. Wellman and released by Paramount Pictures. It stars Clara Bow, Charles "Buddy" Rogers, and Richard Arlen, and Gary Cooper appears in a role which helped launch his career in Hollywood. Wings won the first Academy Award.
