Righteous Brothers, Blues Traveler and Free Movies and More Come to MPAC

Grammy award-winning blues-rock group Blues Traveler continues to chart new musical directions. Led by singer John Popper, Blues Traveler performs a mix of old and new, drawing upon their 30 years as one of music's most popular live bands.
Formed in Princeton, NJ in 1987, the band is known among fans for its improvisational live shows. The band scored mainstream success in the 1990s with their hit album Four, which spawned the top selling hits "Hook" and "Run-Around."Music Student of the Month Recital: Friday, June 16 at 7 pm
An evening of musical performances by some of Morris County's top music students - as chosen by their teachers - at the annual year-end Music Student of the Month recital. This free recital is open to the public to encourage and congratulate these students for their dedication and leadership in their school's music programs. Eighteen students will showcase their skills across a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, pop and vocal, performing individually and in groups. Throughout the 2017-2018 season over 75 students were honored on the MPAC stage as Music Students of the Month. Now hear why their teachers believe they deserve this honor! The Mayo Performing Arts Center has been designated a Major Presenting Organization by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Mayo Performing Arts Center was named 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres, and is ranked in the top 50 mid-sized performing arts centers by Pollstar Magazine.
