ReVision Theater Hosts [under]eXposed
By: Gabrielle Sierra
ReVision Theatre a professional theatre company located in Asbury Park, NJ is pleased to announce [under]eXposed a new music series that is designed to expose audiences to the newest and brightest composers and lyricists of musical theatre.
[under]eXposed is the brainchild of David Leidholdt, Producing Artsitic Director of ReVision Theatre who states, "After the success of our Readings from Asbury Park series and original works of Kingdom, The Bikinis and the up coming Break-up Notebook, we realized that our audiences were interested and appreciative of new works. In New York there are many venues to showcase new composers but that's not always so in the regional world. It is more challenging to find ways to introduce audiences to them. Luckily for ReVision Theatre we have great venues for music and a diverse and accepting audience".The kick-off performance in the [under]eXposed music series will feature the fabulous Annie Golden, (who many of you may remember from the world premiere of The Bikinis last summer). Annie will perform an original piece that she composed. Also featured are composer/lyricists, Adam Gown (Ordinary Days, Roundabout Theatre), Joe Iconis (Things To Ruin), Scott Alan (CD's Dreaming Wide Awake and Keys: The Music of Scott Alan), Brett Kristofferson (MAC and Bistro Award Winner) and Bobby Cronin (Daybreak). All of these artists have all been showcased in many cabaret and concert venues both in New York City and abroad.
