On Friday, September 16, McCarter Theatre kicked off its 2011-2012 season with Ten Cents a Dance, a musical conceived and directed by Tony Award-winning director John Doyle, featuring the songbook of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

Representing the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation, which provided major support for the production, were Foundation Trustees Laura Zagoren Baron, Adelaide Marcus Zagoren, and George Korf, along with their special guests Mary Rodgers, daughter of Richard Rodgers, and Larry Hart, nephew of Lorenz Hart. Established in 1983 by New Brunswick philanthropist Irving Laurie, the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation is one of New Jersey's largest and most highly respected foundations.

The opening night of Ten Cents a Dance was sponsored by longtime McCarter supporter Glenmede Trust Company. First Vice President, Managing Director, and Portfolio Manager of Glenmede Trust Company's Princeton branch, John Phillips and his wife Kitty Lou Phillips were among the opening night crowd.
