New Musical LOVE IN STOP MOTION to Feature New Jersey Youth This Weekend

Fourteen Northwest New Jersey youths bring life to an original new musical, "Love In Stop Motion" by Luthas & Lee, that performs this Friday & Saturday, June 24th & 25th at the Centenary University Little Theatre, in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

The New York based Group Theatre Too's (Michael Blevins, Artistic Director, Justin Boccitto, Executive Producer) New Works Project is presenting the production. "Love In Stop Motion" musicalizes love, family, and reconciliation through a contemporary score by Korean composer, Minhui Lee with book and lyrics by Clara Luthas, who have both had their works celebrated and presented at Goodspeed Opera House and at Manhattan's Below 54.

The twelve NJ youths, age 13 - 19, appearing in the production include Andrew Wire (Branchville), David Atticus Yawger (Columbia), Lexie Miller (Hampton), Muriel Baki (Hardwick), Josh Wesson (Stanhope), Gracelyn Donovan (Blairstown), Rachel Lee (Flanders), Izac D. Cruz (Budd Lake), Jerry Caviston (Califon), Jeremiah Serna (Flanders), Alani Rose, (Long Valley), Grace Toner (Long Valley), Raphael Plelczmann (Morristown) and Brandon Vita (Hackettstown) are all directed by Broadway, Film and Television veteran and GTT Artistic Director, Michael Blevins, who is also, Director of the Centenary Young Performers Workshop where these young performers are students. Lee met Blevins when she became the Musical Director at the highly noted Centenary Young Performers' Workshop, in Hackettstown. Other area residents appearing in and involved with the production include Claudia Ravlievich (Hackettstown), Elizabeth Fahsbender (Sparta) and recent Montclair State University graduate McKenzie Custin of Pennsylvania who are all former students of Blevins and alumni of the Centenary Young Performers' Workshop. Blevins & Boccitto designed the New Works Project for The Group Theatre Too, who's Advisory Board Members include such luminaries as Chita Rivera, John Kander, Nicole Fosse, David Rimmer, Maurice Hines and the late TEd Mann, to support and encourage the inception, development and public presentation of new and seasoned voices in the performng arts.

"Love In Stop Motion" performs at the Centenary University Little Theatre, 400 Jefferson St., Hackettstown, NJ, Friday, June 24th & Saturday, June 25th. Curtain @ 8PM. Tickets are FREE, and reservations can be made online at www.LoveInStopMotion.com but are not required to attend.
