Midtown Direct Rep Sets 'Broadway's Night Off' Event for 10/1
Midtown Direct Rep will hold a concert event on October 1, 2012. Titled "Broadway's Night Off." The event will include a Broadway themed silent auction followed by a special concert performed by Midtown Direct Rep's company members, all of whom are veteran Broadway performers. Performers include Maplewood and South Orange Broadway pros, Ron Bohmer (Phantom of the Opera), Catherine Brunell (MARY POPPINS), Michelle Federer (Wicked), Becky Gulsvig (Legally Blonde), and many more (performers subject to change).
Ticket buyers at the $75.00 price level will have their name(s) written into one of the songs to be performed that evening! Midtown Direct Rep, the theatre company comprised of friends and neighbors from the South Orange/Maplewood area (who also happen to be among Broadway's most talented professionals), is proud to present this evening of performance and fun. Join the company that most recently created the Off-Broadway musical Rated P for Parenthood as they showcase some of their favorite numbers and some of their hidden talents for their very own South Orange/Maplewood community - the place the New York Times called "where Broadway comes home to sleep."
Tickets go on sale to the public on August 27th at 12:00 PM and can be purchased by calling 973-313- ARTS(2787) or by visiting SOPACnow.org. Tickets for this special evening are $25 for Balcony Seats, $35 for Orchestra Seats, and $75 for House Seats and Your Name Written into a Song (limited quantity available). At 7:30pm, doors will open for the Broadway Themed Silent Auction, followed by the Concert Performance at 8pm.
