Mark W. Jones is New Paper Mill Executive Director
The Paper Mill Playhouse Board of Trustees is proud to announce the appointment of Mark W. Jones as Paper Mill's Executive Director.
Jones, a New Jersey native, comes to Paper Mill Playhouse after four years as Executive Director of the nationally acclaimed Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Mr. Jones managed the financial turn-around of the organization that had accumulated a $2.6 million operating deficit. Among his accomplishments at Shakespeare & Company, Mr. Jones strengthened fundraising, increased ticket sales, generated the first significant operating surplus in the organization's thirty year history, and oversaw the development of a new theater and production center. Mark Jones has a distinguished thirty-year career in arts management, successfully leading organizations in various disciplines.
Prior to his leadership post at Shakespeare & Company, Mr. Jones served for twelve years as Executive Director and Producer of the critically acclaimed Jose Limόn Dance Foundation of New York City. During his tenure with the Jose Limόn Foundation, Mr. Jones quadrupled the budget, expanded fundraising to eight times the previous level, and created an endowment fund.
