Mark Linn-Baker to Lead George Street Playhouse's ONE SLIGHT HITCH

By:

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint today announced that the New Brunswick's theatre's 39th season will open with One Slight Hitch, by comedian and regular contributor to "The Daily Show," Lewis Black. Starring in this delightful modern farce will be actor Mark Linn-Baker, who was recently seen on Broadway in Relatively Speaking and is known to television audiences from the hit comedy Perfect Strangers.

The Playhouse will keep the laughter rolling into the holiday season with Ken Ludwig's The Game's Afoot -- a comedy whodunit where murderous mayhem at the famous Gillette Castle is solved with a wink to the legendary literary sleuth Sherlock Holmes. 2013 begins with David Lindsay Abaire's Tony Award-winning Broadway hit Good People, followed by the world premiere of Victoria Stewart's Rich Girl, a clever and hip new comedy about women and their relationship to men, mothers and money - in that order. The fifth and final production of the season has yet to be finalized, and will be announced at a later date.

As part of the season's offerings, George Street Playhouse will continue their successful BOOK CLUB PROGRAM, now in its sixth year, with the production of Good People. The book club package price includes a copy of the published edition of David Lindsay Abaire's play, a study guide, a ticket for the production, and the opportunity to have a representative from The Playhouse visit their book club meeting to discuss themes of the play and share behind-the-scenes information about the creation of the production. For book club information, please contact the George Street Playhouse Group Sales Department by phone at 732-846-2895, ext. 134, or by email at mbergamo@georgestplayhouse.org .
