MPAC Welcomes Celtic Woman, Dave Koz Plus Free Tickets for Veterans for Nov 11 Concert

Military veterans and active duty personnel can get free tickets to MPAC's Veterans Day Concert on Sunday, November 11 at 3 pm that will be performed by the Hanover Wind Symphony.

In order to claim tickets, veterans and active duty military personal can reserve tickets by using the code VET2018 or by mentioning the code when calling the box office. There is a four ticket limit per order. The MPAC box office phone number is 973-539-8008, and the box office is open Monday-Saturdays, 10 am - 6 pm.

Duty, Honor, Country - A Salute to Service: A Hanover Wind Symphony Veterans Day Concert will be a patriotic Pops-style Veterans Day concert performed by Hanover Wind Symphony that will honor and celebrate those who serve and have contributed to our nation's defense. It will also featuring performances by MPAC's Performing Arts Company. Tickets for the public are $25 for all seats.

An all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, the Hanover Wind Symphony presents an array of engaging concerts throughout the year. The Hanover Wind Symphony has played to enthusiastic audiences in and around greater Morris County for over a quarter-century. At the group's premiere performance in 1985, there were 30 musicians. Now in its 29th season, the Hanover Wind Symphony has more than doubled in size. Roughly half the HWS members have been in the symphony for 15 years or more, with five of the founding members still active. HWS members are your neighbors--volunteers whose passion for music enriches the cultural fabric of the community with the thrill of live wind band performances. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to bring "music to people and people to music" with the magic of live performances.

Popular Irish recording artist Celtic Woman brings its holiday show, The Best of Christmas, to Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, November 28 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $59-$129. New Jersey Festival Orchestra will provide orchestral accompaniment.

The multi-platinum international music sensation's annual holiday offers an unparalleled live musical experience, with Celtic Woman performing timeless holiday songs accompanied by a full symphony orchestra. The show will feature music from the all-female ensemble's much loved holiday releases, such as the platinum-selling A Christmas Celebration and Home For Christmas. Celtic Woman promises an enchanting and festive evening filled with such favorites as "Silent Night," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and "Joy To The World."

Both an accomplished recording ensemble and a world-class performing collective, Celtic Woman celebrates Ireland's rich musical and cultural heritage, while continuing its remarkable 13-year-legacy of introducing some of Ireland's most talented singers and musicians onto the world stage. The group's albums and DVD releases have been consistent multi-platinum best-sellers, while their Emmy-nominated public television specials including two acclaimed Christmas specials, Home For Christmas and A Christmas Celebration have regularly dominated the audience-supported viewer pledge drives.

Celtic Woman is comprised of four young Irish women- Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon, gifted violinist Tara McNeill and the group's newest member Megan Walsh -whose performing skills bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to life. Named Billboard's #1 World Music Artist of the Year six times, each of its 11 studio CDs have debuted at #1 on Billboard's World Album chart. Celtic Woman has also scored two Top 10 debuts on Billboard's influential album chart and five Top Five DVDs on Billboard's Top Video chart, as well as achieving platinum-level sales in nine countries.

Mayo Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey.
