MPAC Announces Upcoming Summer Events

MPAC's summer season continues the week of July 17-21 with three events including the return of MPAC's free summer movie series. Also coming that week are the tribute group the New York Bee Gees and Jersey comic Vic DiBitetto.

Monday, July 17 at 7 pm: The Secret Life of Pets (Free)
MPAC presents the animated family film The Secret Life of Pets. Two mismatched mutts get lost in NYC and must find their way home. During their journey, they encounter a bunny who plans to lead a group of abandoned pets on a mission of revenge against humanity. Featuring the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, and Kevin Hart. PG. The movie is free but advance reservations are suggested. Tickets will be available beginning Monday, June 26

Wednesday, July 19 at 8 pm: The New York Bee Gees (Tickets $29-59)
Get your leisure suits, gold medallions and platform shoes out of storage -- it's time for some disco fever! Forty years after Saturday Night Fever hit movie screens, enjoy a night of 70s disco featuring The New York Bee Gees in a tribute to the Aussie supergroup, with special guest Rainere Martin (in a salute to Donna Summer).

The New York Bee Gees Tribute Show is comprised of some of New York's most versatile and exceptionally talented players. The band includes present or former members of well known, world renown acts including The Alan Parsons Project, Happy Together Tour, Meatloaf, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Riot, Herman's Hermits, Enrique Iglesias, The Rippingtons and more. The band offers all of the classic 70's disco hits from "Stayin' Alive" to "Night Fever" while embracing their early works such as "To Love Somebody," "I've Got To Get A Message To You" and Massachusetts."

Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 8 pm: Vic DiBitetto Tickets $25-35 (
Comedian Vic DiBitetto churns energy, honesty and humanity into nonstop laughter. He's been called a cross between Rodney Dangerfield and Ralph Kramden. The bottom line is, DiBitetto leaves his audiences breathless with laughter.

DiBitetto became An Internet sensation with tens of millions of YouTube views and his now famous Bread and Milk, Justin Bieber and Kanye West viral rants. He was features in the Kevin James' movie Mall Cop: Blart 2. Up until 2014, Vic drove a school bus for special needs children for 20 years. The law requires that there be a matron on the bus as well. That was Vic's wife, Lucy. Before that, he drove a garbage truck. They were finally able to "get off the bus" and focus solely on Vic's career. Maureen Langan will open.

Mayo Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey. The 2017-2018 season is made possible, in part, by a grant the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as support received from the F.M. Kirby Foundation and numerous corporations, foundations and individuals. The Mayo Performing Arts Center has been designated a Major Presenting Organization by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Mayo Performing Arts Center was named 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres, and is ranked in the top 50 mid-sized performing arts centers by Pollstar Magazine.
