As DVDs of Baz Luhrmann's recent controversial adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's beloved novel The Great Gatsby hit shelves today, Liberty Hall Museum in Union has announced it will host its own lavish Great Gatsby Party tonight, September 28th. Yelp New Jersey is a proud sponsor of the event.

From 7 p.m. to midnight, guests are invited to step back into a time when jazz raged, gin flowed (illegally), and Charleston-crazed flappers danced the night away. Billed as a "bee's knees" of an evening, admission to this exclusive event will include delectable handcrafted hors d'oeuvres, all-you-can-drink 1920s-inspired cocktails, gambling, period dancing, and live music by acclaimed jazz musicians, The Recessionals. Based in New York City, The Recessionals have toured extensively up and down the East Coast, performing at The Blue Note, Boston Swing Central, Louis Armstrong's home in Corona, Queens, and many other venues of note.
