La Strada's World Premiere of CATCHPENNY Comes to JSAC

In founding member and Chicago resident Gerry Ringwald World Premiere of Catchpenny, the CEO of Peterson, Connelly and Brown, a top advertising agency in Chicago, Illinois threatened with take over of his company by younger more tech savvy entrepreneur.

Gerry Ringwald says of his play, " I wanted to write a play that explored the meaning of the word "new." Is newer always better? What's more important newness or experience and history? I also wanted explore the topic of ageism. It's is my belief that ageism is the only socially acceptable form of prejudice. I know a lot of people who are in their mid-fifties who are discarded from places of work because they are deemed too old? A generation or two ago, those people would be invaluable to a firm's success. Now they are discarded and abandoned."

CATCHPENNY is directed by founding member Donna Ault-Jacobson plays March 22 and 23 at 8pm/March 24 at 2pm at the Jersey Shore Arts Center, 66 South Main Street, Herbst Theatre on the 1st Floor Palaia Theatre.

The evening stars founding member Evan Black, as well as Nathan Magno, Alexandria Pascucci & Leon Weyhknecht IV.

Tickets are $25/$20 for students and senior citizens with an ID. The performance will be held at Jersey Shore Arts Center, 66 South Main Street, 1st Floor Theater in Ocean Grove.
