La Strada's DESTRUCTION OF THE AMERICAN MALE Gets A New Space

By:

La Strada's DESTRUCTION OF THE AMERICAN MALE Gets A New Space ImageDestruction of the American Male starring A.J. Ciccotelli and Christine Nagy, co-host of The Bob and Christine Morning Show on 106.7 Lite-FM, opens at La Strada's home base at the Jersey Shore Arts Center's on their 3rd Floor Café Space on April 6th through the 8th.

"Using the new café space opens up the staging possibilities for our director's Donna Ault-Jacobson and Evan black to explore Jack's world that is crumbling around him," state artistic director and star A.J. Ciccotelli, who plays Jack. "It's an actor's dream to be so close to an audience and be able to move them, disturb them, draw them near in such a way. This play, this cast, this production shouldn't be missed."

"DESTRUCTION is really three short plays tied together to make a universe," says local Brick playwright Darren Debari. "In this universe we watch a man struggle with relationships, employment and ultimately who he is. This play tackles the issue of the changing world and most especially the role of the male in American Society, head long."

The cast rounds out with Christine Nagy (co-host of The Bob and Christine Morning Show on 106.7 Lite-FM), Evan Black, Caitlyn Cadena, Michelle Curcio, Joe Delgiodice, Eric Hackler, Phil Korz, Donna Knowlton, Alexandria Pascucci and Gary C. Walter. It is directed by Donna Ault Jacobson & Evan Black.

DESTRUCTION OF THE AMERICAN MALE leaves the station at the Jersey Shore Arts Center, 1ST Floor main theater (66 South

Main Street, Ocean Grove NJ) Fri. April 6 & Sat. April 7 at 8pm and Sun. April 8 at 2pm. $25 tickets (Adult) and $15 tickets (senior citizen & student tickets with ID) can be purchased online at www.lastradaensemble.org or by calling (732) 455-2748.
