Kelsey Theatre Presents TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS 12/11-12/13
Jolly old St. Nick is getting ready to make his annual visit to good girls and boys around the world. Join the Kelsey Players for "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," based on the classic poem by Clement Moore, at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Joyful performances for the whole family will take place Friday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 13 at 2 and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.
In the true spirit of giving, Kelsey Theatre is participating in the Toys for Tots drive; unwrapped, new toys may be dropped off in the theatre's lobby through Dec. 21. Theater-goers will also enjoy caroling in the lobby prior to the show. Then Clement Moore takes the stage as his beloved poem, "A Visit from St. Nicholas," comes to life. Audience members will be encouraged to sing along with more favorite carols as Santa arrives at the end of the show. The cast includes: Ken Ambs of Newtown, PA, as Clement Moore; Diane Wargo of Ewing as Eliza Moore; Madison Glassman of Burlington as Margaret Moore/Sugar Plum; Caroline Maurer of Robbinsville as Charity Moore/Sugar Plum; and John Costello of Hamilton Square as Mr. Kringle. The production is directed by Diane Wargo.
Tickets are $8 for children, students and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. Free parking is available next to the theatre. Tickets may be purchased online at www.kelseytheatre.net or by calling the Kelsey Theatre Box Office at 609-570-3333.
