Hanover Wind Symphony Comes to The Bickford Theatre, 3/11
The Hanover Wind Symphony brings their show entitled Brass in the Bickford to the Morris Museum on Sunday, March 11 at 2:00PM.
Wind bands like the Hanover Wind Symphony are versatile and flexible ensembles with a wonderful repertoire of original wind literature written for them. This concert offers a unique twist with a program that features some great music taken from the repertoire for brass band, brass ensemble, and even orchestra. These transcriptions allow the Hanover Wind Symphony and our audience to experience these incredible pieces as arranged for wind band.
Matthew Paterno, is the Music Director and lead conductor of the Hanover Wind Symphony. Kurt Zimmermann, the Associate Music Director, will also conduct a portion of the program. Peter Boor, the founder of the Hanover Wind Symphony and Director Emeritus, will return to conduct a selection at this concert.
The Hanover Wind Symphony is a non-profit organization fulfilling its mission - to bring "music to people and people to music." Called the "hidden gem" by the Daily Record, they offer a bright future for music in our community.
