GUYS AND DOLLS to Run 7/10-19 at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre

Inveterate gambler Nathan Detroit is strapped for cash as he prepares to set up the biggest craps game in town. It's time for Lady Luck to step in. M&M Stage proudly presents the unforgettable Broadway musical "Guys and Dolls" at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre Fridays, July 10 and 17 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, July 11 and 18 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, July 12 and 19 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night show on July 10.

Some high rollers are rolling into New York City and Nathan Detroit is desperate to set up yet another of his floating crap games - if he can just raise the dough to secure the site. He decides on an elaborate wager with fellow gambler Sky Masterson. Can Masterson win the heart of straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown? If not, Detroit will be $1,000 richer. Adding to the melodrama is Detroit's own complicated love life with his long suffering fiancé, Adelaide, whose patience is finally at an end. Are these guys ready to do right by their dolls?

Based on the colorful stories of Damon Runyon, "Guys and Dolls" made its Broadway debut in 1950. With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, the show's rapid fire wit and brilliant musical score have made it a true classic of American theater. Favorite tunes include the catchy title song, plus Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat, If I Were a Bell, A Bushel and a Peck, and Adelaide's Lament.

The quirky cast stars Michael Lovett of Ewing as Nathan Detroit; Joe Zedeny of East Windsor as Sky Masterson; Sarah Carter of Lawrenceville as Sarah Brown; and Jen Gursky of Lebanon as Adelaide.

Supporting cast members include Matthew Cassidy of Morrisville, Pa., as Arvide Abernathy; Stacy Danka of Allentown as General Cartwright; Charles Denk of Princeton as Lt. Brannigan; Chris Neuman of Hamilton as Benny Southstreet; Nicholas Pecht of Hamilton as Nicely-Nicely; Kurt Penney of Pennington as Harry the Horse; Peter Sauer of Yardley, Pa., as Rusty Charlie; and Sheldon Bruce Zeff of Newtown, Pa., as Big Jule. Also featured are gamblers Reise Bridgers of Hamilton, Charlie Gormley of Morrisville, Pa., Nicholas Kianka of Hamilton, Matt Krauss of Yardley, Pa., Daniel Montero of Ewing, Dan Mucha of Yardville, Christopher Schmalbach of Marlton, Liam Smith of Yardley, Pa., Joseph Stockette of Bensalem, Pa., Tristan Takacs of Trenton, Michael Wemer of Mt. Holly, Shan Williams of Ewing, and Ray Weems-Pickens Burlington.

The female ensemble includes missionaries Carolyn Anzuini of East Windsor, Rachel Benoit of Yardville, Gina Migliaccio of Hamilton and Chrissy Pullen of New Egypt. The Hot Box Dancers are Patricia Curley of Lawrenceville, Katelyn Dunkel of Hamilton, Kailee Graham of Ewing, Marina McLaughlin of Columbus, Amanda Peterson of Lawrenceville, Lauren Rennert of Marlboro and Erin Wurtz of Levittown.

The show is directed by Mike Diiorio and produced by Diiorio and Mike Almstedt. The choreographer is Laura Murey Ghaffoor and the musical director is Pam Sharples. Lighting design is by M. Kitty Getlik. Stage manager is Angela Fasanella.
