Young theater goers can take a delightful, enlightening romp through the woods when Kaleidoscope Theatre presents the fairytale musical "Goldilocks and the 3 Bears" at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, March 3 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
This fun-filled production tells the beloved story of the little girl with the golden curls who encounters a family of bears who live peacefully in the woods. With the helpful participation of the audience, Goldilocks's three furry friends teach her important lessons in kindness and acceptance. An original musical written by Kaleidoscope Theatre's Executive Director David G. Payton, this is one show you just can't "bear" to miss.
Based in Rhode Island, the award-winning Kaleidoscope Theatre is a professional touring company that has been entertaining family audiences with its fresh, light-hearted take on traditional fairytales since 1982. Kaleidoscope shows have also incorporated more serious themes of drug prevention, teen pregnancy, divorce, and disability. Young actors with disabilities are strongly encouraged to participate, and each production contains important messages with the recurring theme that "we are all special."
