East Lynne Presents Free Performance of ROBIN HOOD
East Lynne Theater Company's much anticipated Student Workshop Production is back!
After 30 hours of rehearsal covering ten days, students, ages 9-14, will perform "The Tale of Robin Hood" written by ELTC's artistic director, Gayle Stahlhuth, at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., where the company is in residence. The date is Monday, July 3, at 8:00 p.m. This marks ELTC's 11th Summer Student Workshop Production, and for the past ten it's been standing room only. Admission is free and families are welcome.
Directing the production is Rob LeMaire, who directs for the Ocean City High School Drama Guild. Past productions include "Footloose: The Musical," "Arsenic and Old Lace," and "Spamalot." In the fall, he's directing "Stage Door" by Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman. Since Rob has been performing with ELTC for seventeen years, he's no stranger to American classics. This summer, he's performing in ELTC's "Ah, Wilderness!" by Eugene O'Neill.
Assisting Rob is Megan Beres, who is pursuing a degree in Technical Theater at Rider University. Lee O'Connor, ELTC's Technical Director, is also assisting.
Meanwhile, "Will Rogers' U.S.A.," starring Tom Byrn, continues on ELTC's mainstage through July 22, every Wednesday through Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
For information about the workshop, mainstage season, touring shows, and educational outreach, and to make reservations, call 609-884-5898, or visit www.eastlynnetheater.org.
