Eagle Theatre Conservatory, a year-round theatrical institute for all ages and levels of professionalism, has announced that a brand new curriculum has been developed for their 2017 Eagle Summer Theatre Intensive, a summer camp guaranteed to shine the spotlight on both training and performance, while offering opportunities for aspiring actors to build skills that will be applied in front of a live audience.

"This unique curriculum is designed to educate, enlighten, and entertain. Campers will work alongside Eagle Theatre professionals in a safe and fun environment, brimming with creativity" states Kimberly Suskind, Director of Youth Education.

Each day a variety of intensives will be held by professional teaching artists, including; acting, music, improvisation, dance, audition prep, scene study, stage combat, sketch comedy, and technical theatre.

Co-Artistic Director Ted Wioncek III added "Eagle Theatre Conservatory offers opportunities for aspiring actors to build both social and academic skills. Arts education is essential, as it paves the way for creativity, critical thinking, and assists in exercising one's full potential. It determines the quality of our cultural future."

Eagle Summer Theatre Intensive culminates in a fully loaded, on-stage performance of GODSPELL, JR, presented on the Eagle's original professional Equity set!

GODSPELL JR. tells the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty, and love. Eagle Theatre Conservatory presents a troupe of eccentric stars of tomorrow ready to rock audiences right out of their seat! Chockfull of hit rock songs, and topical humor, GODSPELL JR, modernizes a series of parables by using a wide variety of games, and exciting storytelling techniques.

Co-Artistic Director Ed Corsi adds, ""It amazes me to watch our campers grow from day to day. A participant may be shy and timid during the first week of camp. Then week two rolls around and suddenly they are full of newfound confidence. That is the kind of transformation live performing arts can help provide."

Registration will remain open until July 9th, 2017
