ELTC to Close 25th Season With TALES OF THE VICTORIANS, 10/11

By:

The award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's popular "Tales of the Victorians" presents its final performance on Saturday, October 11 at 4:00 p.m. The location is The First Presbyterian Church, 500 Hughes St., in Cape May, where the company's main stage performances take place.

As usual, tea and homemade tasty treats will be served, while patrons listen to stories by famous American authors such as O. Henry and Louisa May Alcott, all for only $10.00. Children are always welcome, and, like other East Lynne events, ages 12 and under are free. ELTC's "Tales of the Victorians" began twenty-five years ago at The Puffin when it was a B&B.

The performers are Stephanie Garrett and Lee O'Connor who quite often appear together for "Tales." Stephanie has performed in several ELTC productions, most notably in last season's "Lost on the Natchez Trace." Lee has portrayed Sherlock Holmes since ELTC began presenting Holmes' adventures radio-style over ten years ago, and currently is seen briefly in ELTC's current production of "Within the Law."

Other performers for "Tales" this year were Michele LaRue, Suzanne Longacre, Hope Gaines, Eileen Kirk, and Gayle Stahlhuth. Locations included The Butterfly Tea Room, The Dormer House, The Blue Rose Inn & Restaurant, The Chalfonte Hotel, The Peter Shields Inn, The Candlelight Inn in North Wildwood, The Victorian Lace Inn, The Inn of Cape May, and The Victorian Lace Inn.

Meanwhile, ELTC's current production of "Within the Law" has its final performance on Sunday, October 12 with a 7:30 curtain.
